So you're interested in Freelancing...

freelancingFreelancers are considered to be self-employed, although they are required to service a number of clients/companies. Their service to their client is only for a limited time, so they are not considered an official employee; therefore, they do not sign any fixed long-term contracts.

This field of work is seen as a sporadic one, as they often jump from one client to another after completing their assigned task. On average, their clients pay them between $10 and $15 per project.

There are freelancers who choose to work individually, while others work for freelance-based companies. Individual practices are required to look for clients in need of their services, while those who work for a freelance company have projects assigned to them. In most cases, those who work independently choose their own assignments and need to convince targeted clients to hire them. However, there are other experienced freelancers who are known for their work and are often personally requested.

Those who work for a freelance company often don’t have the choice of which assignments they’re to complete. When they’re given an assignment, they submit their work when they are completed and wait for it to be reviewed. After being reviewed by a company’s editor, they are paid for their work if it is approved. If it is rejected, they do not receive payment and may redo their assignment or move on to another.

There are a variety of fields available for freelancers, though it is wise to consider a field related to their work experience. Some common fields are in photography, web design, graphic design, and computer programming to name a few; although a great many target writers and editors.

If you are interested in working for a freelance company, I recommend applying for DemandStudios.com and Suite101.com.
